“ I had another great experience here last night! Tavola continues to be a go-to of mine in this area. It can get busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Last night I had the burrata appetizer and it was amazing! So simple and fresh. I also had the cacio e Pepe, which is a fav of mine! ”
“ Armando was so amazing! Great service, Great drinks, and lovely atmosphere. Lovely little spot. ”
“ While visiting New York in December, it was a very cold night. So we decided to dine near our hotel. We were confident that food in NYC is always good. So we made reservations at Tavola and it did not disappoint. Service was great & friendly. Ambiance was very Italian. Like eating at my old Italian neighborhood on the Bronx. Food was super delicious & the mini cannolis for dessert was just perfect. In NYC, Reservations is a must. ”
“ Have been coming here for years, before Hudson Yards. Hell's Kitchen has no shortage of good Italian options, but the food here is worth stopping in for. I always get one of the pizzas, and one of the cheesecakes with a seasonal topping. I had my first and best clam pizza here, it has a good balance between the cheeses and the brine of the clams. The owners make sure to stop by every table and most of the waitstaff is Italian as well. ”
“ We had ordered quite a few dishes and were truly happy with everything. The burrata was creamy and silky, probably the best I have ever had. The arancine should be listed as extra large, they are huge! The spaghetti with chicken meatballs were a hit with my friend's son and the gnocchi melted in your mouth, they were so soft. There were two downsides. We were a party of three but they seated us at a two top right on top of the wait station with plenty of open tables. Also, our server might have been on the new side. She never told us about the specials, forgot the vegetable side dish we ordered, nor asked if we wanted to order desserts just offered the check. Franco, the manager was charming and very enthusiastic to share the history of the restaurant and how the interior is all original. It's so nice to see that it was preserved, truly old school New York vibe. Highly recommend making reservations to ensure getting a table, one can do it right on the Yelp app. ”
“ The service and Tavola were lovely. It is a very busy restaurant. We were 7 people and we sat at a long communal table. The spaghetti vongole was really good. The focaccia was delicious too. The cod special was a generous portion and lovely. The spaghetti bolognese and gnocchi bolognese were also enjoyed. The pizza Margherita was served lukewarm. The flavors were good though. ”
“ Went for dinner right after we arrived in town based on proximity to hotel and reviews. Boy are happy we did! It was so delicious. We split the focaccia, right out of the oven. Not as thick as I like it but still flavorful. Also split arancini. Not readily available at home and so delicious. Then we chose gnocchi each with a different sauce. It was billed as cloud like and that was right on the money. Probably the best gnocchi I've ever had and I get it often. I wish I'd had room for dessert as there was a chocolate espresso mousse cake calling out to me but alas no room after such a heavy meal. ”
“ Little eatery near our hotel in Hell's Kitchen area. Made reservations for 4 plus a toddler on a Wed night and they were able to accommodate us last minute. Service I must say was outstanding, our server was very attentive and explained all the specials for us. She recommended items to eat and also suggested some wine. My husband and I split the veal Ragu which was to die for a long with a pizza which is neopoltan style, thin crust. Extensive Italian menu with reasonable prices for NY. ”
“ The location is easy to find and I reserved online which makes it easier. The restaurant is pretty small inside with lots of tables close together. It was very dark inside so I had to use a flashlight to read the menu. Mladenka was our server and she was nice difficult to understand at times but nice. Just as an FYI they don't have a kids menu and when you do order spaghetti and meatballs for your children it's very expensive. Pizza would be your best option. Also if you want bread, it's $10 something we didn't know. I did get arancine which was cold inside, obviously frozen then reheated which isn't good. Overall the food was ok. You can see what we ordered on the receipt. Overall the meal was ok. Would I return - maybe. The bathrooms need a bit of cleaning and upkeep. ”
